we have raised
in excess of $175,000 for
Cystic Fibrosis research. Last year we raised $17,453 for the A.C.S. !)
For
this
year's tournment we will be donating
all net funds to the American
Cancer Society.

Society is the nationwide,
community-based, voluntary health
organization dedicated to eliminating
cancer as a major health problem by preventing
cancer, saving lives,
and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education,
advocacy, and service."
We
have
reserved Saturday September 11, 2010 at
Chequessett
Yacht
&
Country
Club in Wellfleet, Ma.
for
this
year's
event
and
look
forward to seeing you there.
Our
goal
for this year's tournament is $20,000.
This year's tournament
is sure to be the best to date and a wonderful, exiting day for
both
the
paricipants
and
the
ACS.
In our last tournament 72 golfers teed
off at
Chequessett
Country
Club,
played
18,
and then congregated in the function
room for
our
annual
banquet and awards ceremony. Prizes wil be awarded
for
closest
to the pin (2 holes),
and longest drive (men's and women's). Prizes
will also
awarded
for "low net" for the top 4
foursomes. We get lots
of
donations from local businesses which are raffled off at the
banquet.
Raffle
prizes included some great art work, various golf
related items, and many
gift
certificates from local mechants.
Donations
include
greens
fees,
cart,
snack, and banquet following the tournament.
