Here's what the Cahoon Hollow Beach  looks like from the water on a typical July day.
The Beachcomber is the larger building slightly left of the center of the photo. On the
left and right you can see the angular paths that  lead from the parking lot to the beach.
If you're willing to walk an extra 150-200 feet to the right or left, the beach is pretty much
empty. The nearest beaches are White Crest (about 1 mile south and Newcomb Hollow
about 2 miles north). The total amount of cars that can be parked (including the town
lot and our lot) is about 170-200 tops. On nice days the lots do fill up - so get in the car
early and be here by 11am if you want to be guaranteed a spot.

Below are some views of Cahoon Hollow Beach looking North and South. It' one of
four Wellfleet town beaches located in the National Seashore. Of the four,
Cahoon Hollow and White Crest are the two that accomodate non resident
parking. The town operates a parking lot on the beach side which holds
about 80 cars. The fee for the day is $15. We have additional parking in the
rear of our building which accomodates about 100 cars. We validate parking
with a $15.voucher which is redeemble in the restaurant for food, raw bar, or t-shirts.

The pictures don't really do it justice. The dunes here are 70 to 100 feet high,
and the view is dramatic. People who have traveled all over the world say this
is one of the most beautiful beaches they have ever seen !
